Quotes About Writing

In the last week I’ve come across a couple of quotes posted on Facebook about writing and I thought you might like them as much as I did.

Jackie Sayle posted the first one, by the German novelist and short story writer, Thomas Mann, in the Bring Back Fiction to Women’s Magazines! group. I related to it instantly – what do you think?

This one, posted by Marilyn Rodwell, made me feel inspired – hope it does the same for you!

I think I should print out the manifesto and pin it on the wall by my desk.

I love stuff like this, Sally, and I’m going to add them to my collection. My own blogname comes from Walt Disney – If you can dream it, you can do it.

Terry – yes, we’ve all been there with Thomas Mann!
Julia – I agree, we need to read it every day to keep forcing ourselves to write the words
Keith – I think it takes hard graft as well as a dream (but the dreaming bit is fun!)
Helen – glad you found them inspiring.
